DISCERNMENT OF SATAN’S DEVICES: Equipped with God’s Power to Stand

The theme for this week’s Devotional is DISCERNMENT OF SATAN'S DEVICES. Our God has bestowed upon us the spiritually intellectual ability to comprehend beyond what our natural eye sees, beyond face value. Oh what a gift and our team of writers will encourage your hearts through God’s Word and their testimonies!
SCRIPTURE:  “Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ, 11 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.”  II Corinthians 2:10-11

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [a]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
There is the story of a lady who never spoke ill of anybody. “I believe you would say something good even about the devil,” a friend told her. “Well,” she said, “you certainly do have to admire his persistence.” Yes, this created, fallen being, superior in intellect and strength to mankind, is inferior and is no way equal to God, the Creator and has been given a certain amount of authority for a season.

Jesus who came and destroyed the works of the devil (I John 3:8) has also given us power through the Holy Spirit over the works of the devil and his devices. We have been equipped with the whole armor of God “to stand against the wiles of the devil.” So today, stand on God’s infallible Word of Truth no matter the lies; put on the breastplate of righteous and stand confidently in what Christ has done on your behalf; be ready to share the good news of the Gospel to a lost and dying world; continue to resist those fiery darts of lies from the devil with the shield of faith; rest confidently in who you are in Christ and then take your two-edged sword - the Word (rhema) “It is written” and STAND!!

Prayer: Father, You have said “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own
understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (Prov.3:5-6)
From Genesis to Revelation You have SPOKEN and I choose to STAND!! Hallelujah!!!
