Sound the Alarm

SCRIPTURE: “Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel saying, ‘If you return to the Lord with all your hears, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths from among you, and prepare your hearts for the Lord, and serve Him only; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.’ (4) So the children of Israel put away the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and served the Lord only.” I Samuel 7:3-4
To be a Christian is not to have a religion, a church membership, or to have good morals, but to be a Christian is to have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. As a Christian, we claim to have a lifestyle contrary to this world’s system. Hallelujah! We serve the God who is the only wise God! He is not mocked. He is our great Deliverer; and we choose to live by Him only. We choose to cut out what dishonors our Lord and embrace His standard and instruction for this life. Repentance is given by our Lord; and it is our very escape from sin's bondage.

May the Lord have all of us. If any man be in Christ, he is changed and is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17 ). The soul and mind needs to be filled with what brings God pleasure. May we allow the Holy Spirit to rid us of wicked hearts and lead and guide us to align with the Lord. May we read and or listen to what God has said with a determined will to obey, love and serve Him. That we would practice our honor to Him with great wisdom and devotion to His clear and established Word. May we give praises to our God for giving us chance after chance to get it right. For I John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

May we be eternally grateful for the cross; for the power of the Lord’s death, sacrifice, and resurrection is our portion forever. The Person and Work of the Lord Jesus cleanses us, changes us to be used to build His Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven. It changes us so that we desire the Lord to interrupt sin patterns that we may present and exemplify to the world the repentance God requires. For we are Christians and we are absolutely grateful! Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Lord, we thank You for Your pursuit of our hearts. Prepare us to be Your living sanctuary; tried and true. Thank You for Your Word; and please continue to help us welcome and embrace It that we would be forgiven and healed. Help us to never ignore the guilt or conviction meant to force us to quit the sin that brings You sorrow. You are our loving God and beside You there is no other. May we want to be witnesses of Your Precious Glory to the world until the day or Your return. In Jesus’ Name-Amen!
