A Good Faith System

SCRIPTURE: “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth fruit in
its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”   Psalm 1:3
A good root system serves two purposes in a tree’s development: it functions as an anchor and the roots collect moisture without which the tree could not thrive. Some roots are like a strand of hair, yet the entire system of them can exert tremendous pressure. Your root system is the Word of God. As you grow in Christ, each choice of obedience will either strengthen or weaken your faith system.

Psalm 1:2 says that if you delight (take pleasure) in the Word and meditate (ponder) upon it
you will be like a tree that’s planted by the rivers of water. At the river is where the tree’s roots deepen and spread. It is in the Living Word, the Lord Jesus Christ that your faith will deepen because He said that He would become in you as a fountain of living water.

Your faith system enables you to bring fruit (grow in character) in any season. At the heat of
trials, you will remain stable because you are rooted in the Word of God and your faith is being exercised and strengthened. Reflect today on times of great testing and praise God that you are “Blooming where you are planted.”

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for perfecting that which concerns me through the trials, testings, and challenges that allow me to mature with a stronger faith. Your ways and judgements are so much greater and Your wisdom so much more perfect than mine. I love You and truly trust You!!!
