Pastor Cockrell! It’s your birthday!
THEREFORE, we have four divine presents to send your way.

Many years ago, you were a babe in Christ,
Look what the Lord had in store for your new life.

Genesis Bible Fellowship Church benefited the most,
We are glad you said, “Yes,” to what the Lord had proposed.

Certainly, faith isn’t a destination, but a spiritual journey,
We have taken this grace-driven ride with you accompanied by grace and mercy.

We want to thank you for shepherding us through the things unseen,
THEREFORE, your first birthday gift is found in 2 Corinthians 5:17.

(Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17.)

The same neighborhood where you conducted worldly business,
The Lord has saved you to birth a sanctuary for His goldy purposes.

We are grateful for a servant leader who encourages and corrects us,
We are pleased with the way you take care of your Father’s business.

Pastor, celebrate and enjoy the fruits of your labor,
Relish in your spiritual riches granted by your Lord and Savior.

As a result, you’ve developed disciples and resisted church trends,
THEREFORE, your second birthday gift is found in Ephesians 2:10.

(For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God
prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.  Ephesians 2:10.)

Your good works have spanned through the seasons,
Because of your diligence, your trials occur frequently.

Yet, as a church, we can testify, that ALL things work together for the good,
Knowing that ALL means ALL, we prayed with expectation, and the faithful withstood.

Sunday after Sunday, you’ve stood in the pulpit with prepared biblical lessons,
Equipping us with God’s promises and truth to rely on His spiritual weapons.

You chose not to waiver, abandon, or compromise,
You preach and teach about Jesus, not what’s popularized.

You go beyond our emotions and public opinion,
You’ve subdued our desires, to teach the Kingdom’s agenda.

So, you deserve a reward for your thorough and vigorous routine
THEREFORE, your third birthday gift is found in Philippians 2:13

(for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure Philippians 2:13)

What brings pleasure to you lines up with what brings pleasure to the Lord,
You break down our sin patterns, heart matters, and things we must avoid,

His will is the exclusive mark, and our hearts are where we need to start,
You’ve taught us what the Lord expects and provoked growth in our hearts.

Although, obstacles and challenges are presented as we navigate,
Our future is in His hands as He chastens, renews, and orchestrates.

But, it takes a pastor who is willing to go the length with spirit-driven messages,
Encountering the Holy Spirit  to convey what God’s righteous perspective is.

Sermons are communicated and relayed through a called shepherd’s credentials,
Joining a biblical and living Word that’s informational and experiential.

Breaking down three-point and three sub-point messages,
Delivered with urgency and power to rectify ungodly blemishes.

So, we urge you to continue your thorough approach and prepared routine,
Because we benefit from your thorough delivery each Sunday we convene.

Lastly, Genesis Bible Fellowship Church would like to give you the last gift,
Based on what was said, your fourth birthday present is found at Hebrews 11:6

(But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6)

You believed that the Lord is who He says He is by experience,
Without faith, it is impossible to please Him and qualify for spiritual clearance.
 
So right now and eternally, you are reaping the Lord’s rewards,
You’ve diligently sought after Him by relying on your sword.

Count all 71 years with thankfulness and joy,
Prepare for the desires of your heart as you delight in the Lord.

Let the church stand!
