BEAUTIFULLY, POWERFULLY, GRATEFULLY RENEWED

SCRIPTURE: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 [KJV]
The invitation that the Bible gives welcomes the ordinary man and woman to the extraordinary and eternal possibilities of life in Christ and it expects radical change. While we yet live on earth, the blessing begins upon the believing and trusting upon the finished work of Jesus on the cross, and His resurrection, for our sakes. While we yet live and believe and profess from our hearts through our lips this gospel, by His grace through faith we are 'born-again'.  We become, in time and eternity, a 'new creature', and a part of God's family. That's worth a shout! That's worth a share!

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13)." That's a new language! That's the message of being a new creature, coming from one who learned in whatsoever a state he was in, to be content, in Christ (Philippians 4:11). The new creature tarries with all joy and peace, to abound in hope as empowered by God, the Holy Spirit. "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost (Romans 15:13)."

If "any" man is in Christ he is a new creature, not just improved, patched up, or given a fresh paint job, but thoroughly 'new'. The application of this verse is as broad as the word "any". One's step away from what was, in genuine faith, is a step into what had never been, new life! No matter who you were or are, and no matter what you had done, God says, “I am here. Come.”  Old stuff, done! Old self, done! "All" things are become new! We have all been that thief on the cross next to Jesus. His forgiveness, and our acceptance of Him in faith, changes everything! Expect paradise! Bless God!

PRAYER: Precious Lord, find this heart ever grateful [greatly grateful] for the wondrous work You have done, and are doing. Help me to pray like it all depends on You, because it does, and help me to daily live as if my living right matters, for it does. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
