SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER with Pastor Wayne Cockrell

SCRIPTURE: “But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble.17 To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; for God is my defense, My God of mercy.” Psalm 59:16-17
Father in haven we thank You so very much this morning for the great gift of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Our hearts are made glad when we consider that we are saved and that You have undertaken the task to conform us to the image of Jesus, and You are not going to give up on us, and we thank You for that. So, we gather today as people on various levels of spiritual growth. All of us have one point in common, that is we are imperfect and undone, but we have seen Your hand of mercy and Your grace working with all kinds of people, helping us to come to a proper place that is pleasing and acceptable in Your sight. We open Your Word once again and we pray, Father, that You would give unto us enlightenment that we would see all matters from Your perspective. That the Holy Spirit would open up to us truth and at the same time, every barrier, everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of You  would be torn down, ripped to shreds so that the fountain of the Holy Spirit can flow freely, not only in us, but Lord God, through us. So that the drink can be experienced by all in the community of believers. We ask Your favor upon me, once again, that You would use me to speak in accordance to Your Word. When it is all said and done, we will not forget to give You all the praise, and all the honor and all the glory for we ask it in Jesus’ name, amen and amen!
