Stop In the Name of Love
SCRIPTURE: “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.” Colossians 3:12-14

How is love proven?
It’s not about what I say, but what I’m doing.
I can’t afford to fall in love with words of satisfaction,
I’m purposing to fall in love with the person’s actions.
This will remove any developing doubts,
I’m able to discern what this person’s motives are all about.
Trust is earned when actions meet words,
Promises and vows can be empty proposals heard.
Even when apologetic, words mean nothing,
If the behavior continues, you’ve shown me little to nothing.
The mirror of a person’s heart is seen in his or her actions,
The truth is revealed in quality and consistent interactions.
I want to be your favorite hello and your hardest goodbye,
I’m good alone, but more comfortable when you’re nearby.
I anticipate your spirit as my confidant and partner,
Your presence makes it easier when matters get harder.
I am set in my ways, but you add something different,
You allow me to see another view that’s just as significant.
Therefore, love is so much more than a bunch of words,
Love is beyond what’s seen, touched, smelled, tasted, and heard.
PRAYER: Teach us Your love, patience, faithfulness, and devotion. Forgive us for falling short in this area that’s important to You. Holy Spirit convict us to put on the love that You exhibit to us in our relationships. In the name of Your Son. Amen!

Amen, thanks for this love poem, Bro. Glenny. I love that first line:
nHow is love proven?
nIt’s not about what I say, but what I’m doing.
nAlright, alright, alright!
"God is love"
