Prayer For an Open Heart
SCRIPTURE:
“14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. 16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind. 17 Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. 18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things. 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”
Philippians 3:14-21

We bow our kneels Father before Your throne of grace with every confidence that You are able to keep everything that we commit to You despite the fact that at times the road of trials does get very tough for us. We seek You, believing what You have promised to us, that You are there to be found if we seek You with all of our heart (Jeremiah 29:13). You are so willing to be found and understood by us in all the ways that expose us to the excellences about Yourself that we could never achieve or know on our own. We pray back to You concerning this prayer that You have given to us. We say that we want our hearts to be open wide to You, but we are aware that an open heart to You will become the filling from You beyond just knowledge in our heads, but all of our inner being will experience the supernatural transforming by means of Your mighty power working in us both to will and do for Your good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). It is because this prayer to us is also Your Word to us, that we can expect You to answer it in full measure when we seek You for these things with an open and yielded heart before You.
When we consider all that You offer and desire for us as Your redeemed children, how can we be satisfied with any measure less than all You intend for us to have to live to the praise of the glory of Your grace? We do not just seek this for ourselves, but as we look around to the lives of our brothers and sisters, our children and our grandchildren, we pray that their hearts will also be open wide to receive the fullness of Your grace that You are offering us in these verses before us today. Father, we not only need, but we want Your strength beyond ours in our inner being so that we can be rooted and grounded in faith and in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. My God, what You are offering us is a life lived on a level that surpasses our natural faculties of human knowledge and love. This is our desire Oh Father, to live on a level that is perceptively in tune with Your working in us, so that when we have no answers to our questions, and things are even beyond our ability to ask, help us to rest in knowing that it is enough that we always have You and Your Word,
which will never fail You purpose in us.
To You always be the glory for us who are in Christ Jesus, both now and forever and ever, amen and amen. Hallelujah and Thank You Lord.
