SUNDAY MORNING PRAYERS with Pastor Wayne Cockrell

SCRIPTURE: “But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 3:14-15
Father, once again, we open Your Word, desiring that the Holy Spirit would speak to us and move in all the right places in us so that the Word would be added to us that we may be equipped for the spheres of life you called us to live in. That we would be a prepared people, a ready people, a knowledgeable people, a people who have the thoughts of their God dominating our minds. We ask Your favor upon me, once again, that You would speak through me according to Your oracles and this people who are gathered in this place would hear what You have to say. When it is all said and done, Father in heaven, we will be careful to give you all the praise and all the honor and all the glory for we ask it in Jesus’ name, amen and amen.

Heavenly Holy Spirit, bless You for Your comprehensive care, and compassionate mentoring as we engage the day with its serpentine paths and our residual wilderness within.

nI pray that our awakening marvels at Your goodness, and that our appetite this day leans upon all that is sacred. Holy Word be as bread.

nMay Your righteousness shine, as we endeavor to abide... that we glorify You in all things, in all ways. Amen.

Yes Lord, we want to be thoroughly equipped for every good work and that begins with studying Your Word! Thanks for this encouragement, Pastor!
