Lord! Make a Home in Me

Scripture: Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Someone has been knocking at my door
It’s been so long since I have invited my Lord

Lately, it hasn’t been home sweet home
There’s a vacancy, yet I choose to be alone

As for my house, there’s been a void
I’ve invited ill-advised tenants, rather than the Lord

I need a divine presence to take residence
A real estate agent in Jesus with credible evidence

Sadly, I haven’t made room for the Lord in my home
Hoarding worldly things without space for His throne

Yet, my property has already been purchased by Him
But, He’s only been allowed to stay, as if He pays rent

Now, He can clean what’s unclean and remove what’s not of Him
He will renew what’s old or broken, and forgive household sins

Prayer:  Lord! Move the things that take your place. Replace them with Your truth, faithfulness, and hope. Take residence in my heart Father! Furnish me with Your love, grace, and mercy. Move in Lord! I ask this in the name of Your Son.
