SUNDAY MORNING PRAYERS with Pastor Wayne Cockrell
SCRIPTURE: “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!’ 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, ‘Lord, who has believed our report?’ 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:14-17
Our eternal Father and our gracious God, once again we bow in Your presence, in the name of Your Son the Lord Jesus Christ. As we open Your Word, we desire once again to yield to the Holy Spirit, desiring that He would speak to the depths of all of our hearts so that a mighty work is accomplished in each of us upon hearing the Word. Please bless this preacher, that once again I would speak in accordance to Your Word so that, Father, in me and through me the Word will have free course so that there be no occasion for any one to stumble at the hearing of it. Oh God, we trust You and we believe with all of our hearts that there is power in the Word, that It works in us deep and causes to bring about a transformation in our lives and to that end we pray in Jesus’ name, amen and amen.
