Ameca, pronounced ‘Ameh-ka’
SCRIPTURE: " But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6

Ameca made its recent debut into the public as an example of what's on the horizon for the connecting of artificial intelligence with 'humanoid' robots, and for all appearances, there is quite a receptive audience for this, though with some naysayers. It [she] has come onto the scene making quite the buzz for in the background, man is 'creator'.
Bringing service with sentience, though without soul, offers both at least incomplete 'man' and possibly monster. Nearer to exceeding its prompter, the tool may become its own master. What then is the value of a soul, seeing the possibilities of artificial intelligence [A.I.]? Are we simply seeing, for real, an upgrade on the raggedy Frankenstein creation [that story ended badly]? Will the 'soul' be central to the nearing conversation of how we might need to change for the sake of the future? Will 'dominion' continue as a soul calling or will it take on a different look? What does 'the good book' say?
"Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle, and over all of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them... And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good... Genesis 1:26-27, 31."
Humankind was created 'very good', to flourish, and to manage the flourishing of all else on earth. Humankind was so appointed, as well as equipped, being living 'souls', created 'in the image of God'. "Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being [soul]. Genesis 2:7"
So, if the Creator's very good creation, in freedom, can fall, what can be expected of the imaginative creation of fallen man? Pray, we seek first the kingdom of God, bold for belief.
"And they said Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name; lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth. And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, 'Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them. Come let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech'...Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of the whole earth, and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of the whole earth." Genesis 11: 4-7,9
Man, gifted and free, while choosing independence from God in his aspirations and affections, will proudly endeavor to be where only the holy belong, presuming merit sufficient. But God, in His mercy, condescended [Genesis 11:5-7] This investment into mankind, would repeat itself, by which the faithfulness of the Lord, and His love, is declared clearly. This we see from Babel, to Bethlehem [to Calvary]. "...regard the patience of our Lord to be salvation... 2 Peter 3:15" Bless You God.
PRAYER: Dear Lord and Savior of sinners, be merciful yet another day, that my own reach may succeed with some other, as Your Spirit leads and as Your Word enlivens. Touch me to tears for the naysayers near, whom You love and have yet to meet You. Raise every prayer that they hear [the Gospel] and live. Thank You for reaching me, O' God. Thank You, Jesus! In my season of utter thirst, thank You for 'living waters', and the nudge to trust You more. Amen.
