God’s Plan to Play it Forward
SCRIPTURE: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” Matthew 28:19

There are many strong examples in Scripture that prove this life in Christ is not just for our own benefit. I bring attention to the phrase in Hebrews 12:1, “Therefore since we are surrounded by such a cloud of witnesses.” It encourages the living believer that there were believers (in the past) who experienced the same trials of life and were champions in the faith; and you can be one, too.
Stephen, in the Book of Acts, died by stoning all for his faith in Jesus. Paul, in II Timothy 4:16, spoke of being left to stand alone under great persecution for the Gospel. It is a conundrum to believe that their acts of courage and sacrifice in the presence of such hostility and persecution would lead us to a zealous walk in the strength of our Lord Jesus the Christ. The All wise and All knowing God compels us to greatness with the testimonies of those who lived before us. They convince and persuade us that God is true and worthy of our proclamation to the world no matter the sacrifice.
God set the plan in place. We are to practice our faith and act as a sort of magnet for those
who would believe in our Jesus. Matthew 28:19, commands us to go, teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. God’s Word is our hope
and stay! We exist to bring His purposes to fruition for His good pleasure. As we preserve
the Good news, we play it forward to others; and we, too, will be named among the great cloud of witnesses to the coming generations.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You so much for Your plan which brings us to the kind of mighty Faith to win others to believe with pronounced fervor. Help us to cling to You, Lord; and successfully climb over the demonic distractions in this life to ultimately capture Your vision. That we would see much further than ourselves and the here and now. Oh that we would be propelled to actively and forever proclaim and preserve the gospel by witnessing and discipling others to love and embrace the Faith no matter the expected repercussions in doing so. In Jesus’ Name-Amen!

Amen! Thank you sister Lisa for this encouraging devotional compelling us to witness. The fields indeed are white. We must go and plant and water for God gives the increase.
Praise the Lord for a "right now" word of encouragement.
