SCRIPTURE: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved." Ephesians 1:3-6
Prayer: Father, we thank You so very much for the great gift of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Our hearts melt before You realizing that You are the One true God with whom all men and women have to do. We’re thankful for the precious blood of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who has taken our full weight so that we might be able to have assurance even as we stand here today, knowing that our sins are forgiven. Knowing that we are Your children by birth and by adoption and we are secure forever, and we praise You for that. As we open Your Word, we ask once again for Your blessing of spiritual enlightenment. That we who are gathered here might see clearly what Your mind is as it relates to the things You desire to say to us. That our hearts would be refreshed and all that stuff that’s in us that’s crooked would be cast away and torn down and new walls of truth and understanding will secure our lives and we give you praise. We ask Your favor upon the preacher, that my you might use me today to speak of Your oracles and we’ll give you all the praise for whatever is accomplished in Jesus’ name, amen!
