PROPHECIES OF JESUS’ BIRTH: The Messiah would be the Seed of the Woman

The Birth of Jesus Christ occurs in the New Testament, but its prophetic origins can be found in several passages of the Old Testament. Through the month of December our Devotional Team will take a look at Old Testament Prophecy and the New Testament Fulfillment of the birth and life of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  Be encouraged as we celebrate our Savior this Christmas Season!
SCRIPTURES:
OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECY: Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed;  He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.”

NEW TESTAMENT FULFILLMENT: Galatians 4:4
“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,”
In the beginning God created all things and God said that it was good. Then God formed man and fashioned woman, yes it was very good. Life, however, in God’s Garden was to be lived according to God’s rules and thus the command was given to eat from every tree except one because death would come. Oh, the sting of death – hiding from God, sorrow for the woman in conception, her husband would rule over her, the ground was cursed and the slavery of sin. BUT GOD!!

God knew before TIME that in TIME there would be THE SEED – Immanuel, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, the Alpha and Omega, the I AM that IAM, JESUS!!!!! Yes, death was swallowed up in the victory of the cross and God’s law was fulfilled in GOD the SON for all TIME!! Hallelujah!!!

Prayer: Oh Sovereign Eternal God that’s why eternity will be eternity because we will
never cease experiencing Your GLORIES and Your WONDERS. Come LORD JESUS!!!

Thank You LORD for the blessing of looking out for us, even before we were, and caring so deeply as to invest into humanity your very self, to permit within us, through the gift of faith, the grace to come and believe, Your Spirit abiding within us.

May the truth in Christmas bless mightily the many that You bring. Hallelujah!
