REMOVAL OF CONFUSION: Bring Peace to Further the Kingdom of God

Our Devotional Team has some great perspectives instore for you based on this week’s theme, Removal of Confusion. By week’s end not only will you have a better understanding about confusion, but you will also have 1 Corinthians 14:33 committed to memory.
SCRIPTURE: “For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.” 1 Corinthians 14:33
God the Father. God the Son. God the Holy Spirit – Three but One! Unified in nature and
essence, but different in function. Not a God of disorder but of peace. As a body of believers to
experience God’s presence righteous unity is critical. Godly behavior promotes edification,
understanding and a “one another” mindset.

Attitudes have the potential to bring confusion such as “I Want What I Want” – the
controller; a critical or negative spirit; competition and comparison. These and so many others
will breed jealousy that leads to envy that leads to confusion. When sin lies at the door of my
heart, its desire is to have me, but I must rule or master it. I Corinthians 9:27 says, “But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.”

Yes, I am my greatest enemy, therefore the wrestling of the flesh and spirit will be a constant
battle until I get a new body. Jesus demonstrated in the flesh that sometimes we must be willing
to put on the “towel of service.” Jesus did not come to be served, but to serve and give His life
a ransom for many. Time is short my sisters and brothers so may we become conduits that
bring peace to further the Kingdom of God.

Prayer: Thank You Lord for not giving us what we deserve, but continued grace, forgiveness,
and mercy. Burn in our hearts first that we might burn for the souls of the lost. As we yield,
make us conduits of peace and not confusion. Praise You!

Amen, Sis! In the words of one eminent gospel preacher regarding unity: "We are to be brothers (& sisters) without being twins."
