You’re Canceled!

Scripture: “This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. 22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:21-23
Now, God is a God of a second chance and many of us are witnesses today that there are times when we have disobeyed God and God says, “Ok, here’s another opportunity!  What will you do this time?” Some of us have said, “No” a few times and God has been long-suffering, and He’s allowed us to keep going around the mulberry bush maybe ten, fifteen times. But there will come a time when He says, “I’m not going to be talking about this anymore.”  You see, people have a propensity of saying, “No” to God. You need to thank God, that God does not say, “You messed up! I’m canceling everything! I know I made some plans for you before the foundation of the world, but you made a mistake. I’m canceling everything. You just go sit in the trash can and wait for Jesus to come back! I have nothing else for you to do because you messed up!  I’m not going to talk to you anymore!” You need to thank God that when you mess up that He’s not through with you!

Prayer: Most gracious heavenly Father, thank You! You have afforded us immeasurable opportunities to get it right. Thank You for not being through with us.   Thank you Lord for giving us the time and space to get it right! Forgive us when we shrug off Your grace and Mercy like we deserve nothing less.  Forgive our disobedience, Lord and thank You for Your great faithfulness!
