The Perfect Gift at the Perfect Time

Scripture:  "Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, 2 but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father. 3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. 4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, 'Abba, Father!'”  Galatians 4:1-11
We want to wish you a blessed Christmas. It is the holiday that reminds us of the grace of God in sending the Son into this world with the gift of salvation. The Bible verse that many of you are familiar with is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  You see, it was not a casual gift, but it was a gift that address our deepest eternal need. It was a sacrificial gift that cost God to gain all who would believe.  Even if our fallen country tries to take Christ out of Christmas, it nor any other force can take away the finished perfect gift of salvation through grace. You see it is the power of GOD and will not be denied in all who believe.
Prayer: Father in heaven, we open Your Word now, wanting You to speak deeply to all of our hearts. We desire that the Holy Spirit would move mightily through the proclamation of this Word and the hearing of it so that no stone would be left unturned.  Everything that needs to be done in every heart would be accomplished, that this Word would do a mighty work even in this one proclamation to turn so many things around. Because we know it is by Your power that the Word is powerful, that Your Word is sharper than any two-edged sword, that it goes deep down into the core of our being and is a judge of the thoughts and intents of our hearts. So, work the work that only You can work. We’ll be careful to give You praise and honor and all the glory for we ask it in Jesus name, Amen.
