Dead End

Scripture:  Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.


I am financially, emotionally, and mentally at a dead end
For so long my daily presentation is to fake it and pretend

I can only see what my eyes see
Discouraged from the circumstances that bind me

Based on my understanding there’s no way out
My heart is filled with fears, worries, and doubts

The path I am walking is so lonely, scary, and dark
However, the Holy Spirit says my end is the Lord’s start

The dead-end is leaning on my own understanding
The dead-end is lacking trust in the Lord and His planning

The dead-end is abandoning my ways and submitting to Christ
The dead-end is continuing my crooked path rather than straightening my life

My new beginning starts with trusting the Lord
However, my path must be cleared to spiritually soar

Certainly, I don’t understand everything, but I know who’s in control
He will make a way out of no way, as long as my heart is sold

Prayer: Thank You Lord for being my light in the darkness. Straighten my path and lead me to Your glory. Address the issues in my heart. Give me what I need to flourish on Your behalf.  I make my petition in the name of Your Son. Amen!
