Sought By The Master

Scriptures: (Isaiah 62:12) And they shall call them The Holy People, The Redeemed of the LORD; And you shall be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.

He Sought Me – He Sought Me Not – He Sought Me – He Sought Me Not

Question …. Who sought who ………..Did  you seek Him or did He seek you?
The scriptures clearly teach that we love Him because He first loved us. (1st John 4:19) What a profound true statement. Because of our sinful state we could never and would never seek after GOD. The truth of the matter is that the Eternal God our Father knew that if He did not provide or show His unconditional love, we would not seek it.  Behold what manner of Love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called the children of GOD! Therefore, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.  (1st John 3:1)  GOD continued to pursue us, until we totally yielded to the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ.

Once that quest was accomplished, then He lovingly taught us how to personally pursue HIM. Oh!   Redeemed Children of the living GOD, are you screaming, are you crying? Are you reminiscing how He sought you and then taught you how to LOVE Him back, how to pursue Him, how to seek Him, how to want His Will more than you want your own personal desires? He said in (Jeremiah 29:13) … “And you shall seek me, and find me when you search for me with all your heart”.  Christ gave His all to save us, and He demands our all when seeking to LOVE HIM and to WORSHIP HIM and HIM alone.

David the King who had a personal connection with GOD, that GOD Himself stated that “David was a man after His own heart”. (Acts. 13:22b) Make no mistake, David spoke as one who knew what it was like to be sought by GOD and forgiven by GOD. When he had reasons to rejoice, he sought Him and praised Him. (Psalm 29: 1-2) Give to the LORD, O you mighty ones. Give to the LORD glory and strength. Give to the LORD the glory due His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of Holiness. When David had reasons to acknowledge his sins and seek GOD’s forgiveness, he sought Him (Psalm 51: 1-4a) Have mercy upon me oh GOD, according to your loving-kindness, according to the multitude of Your tender mercies. Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against You and You only, have I sinned and done this evil in Your sight.  David’s heart/attitude toward seeking GOD is written for our learning, (Romans 15:4). May we choose to seek Christ through prayer and the reading of His Word as we strive to be a man or woman after GOD’s own heart.

Prayer: Holy, Righteous, Sovereign Eternal God, in the name of my King of Glory Jesus I bow. I will never ever understand why You love me so, why you continue to seek me to pursue me even when I fail You.  Thank you for always reminding me the price Christ paid for me, His redeeming Blood is Matchless, is Priceless, is Non-negotiable and Nonrefundable. My life’s heart prayer is what David prayed for in (Psalm 42.1) As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You O GOD. In Jesus Matchless Name.
