Happy Re-New Year
SCRIPTURE: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:1-2
Where is your mind?
Is it pressing forward or set on things behind?
As we walk into a New Year, let’s examine how we think, see, and hear,
Are our minds filled with truth or lies, trust or doubt, faith or fears?
Let’s remind ourselves Satan's target is our minds, and his weapons are lies,
Forcing us to contemplate whether we are going to be earthly or heavenly-minded.
Through the Lord’s mercy, my daily services must be acceptable to God,
A living sacrifice with a holy position by executing my assigned and divine part.
So, as we embark upon a new year, let us look to the Lord to renew our minds,
Refurbishing our spiritual attributes by placing the truth where there once were lies.
A renewed mind demands self-denial, love, purity, and supreme satisfaction in Christ alone,
A playing ground that becomes a praying ground that solely and continually depends on Christ alone.
It’s the satisfaction of changing how we think,
Grabbing onto the Almighty anchor so we won’t sink.
The condition is for us to complete our part so that He can fulfill His,
An unnatural spiritual task that must evolve into how we should live.
We must fill ourselves with God’s Word to give little room for Satan and the enemy,
Diminishing sinful practices, so Christlike practices will resonate through memory.
So, the world will have no place in my mind as the old and the new are rearranged,
A process that doesn’t allow me to conform to earthly things to establish a behavior change.
Therefore, we may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God,
Bringing glory to Him by being transformed by the renewing of our minds and hearts.
Now! We can have a Merry Holiday in good cheer,
Not only is it happy, but it’s a Happy RE-New Year!
PRAYER: Thank You, Lord, for giving me a chance! We are repeat offenders according to Your Word. We are unworthy of Your grace and mercy. Yet, we stand before You once again requesting the opportunity for You to renew our minds. Transform us to what You want us to be. All we can be outside of You is still not sufficient. We desire to be acceptable in Your sight. Renew us, Father! In the matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Amen! Much said, much to think about as we examine ourselves while at the doorsteps of a brand-new year: a year never seen before, yet with great expectations as we think on the things both lovely, true, and praiseworthy. Forgetting those things behind, as we move forward with Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!
