Navigating an Unclear Path
Stepping into the unknown is a challenge our parents have prepared our Genesis Bible Fellowship Youth and Young Adults (Gen. B.FY) for through the Nursery, Primary Church, AWANAS, VBS, Buds to Blossoms, Daughters of the King, Boys of Christ, D.I.M.E.S. ministries! Oh, they weren't just going there for the snacks! They got the WORD. Be encouraged by their devotionals and make sure to encourage them in their walk!
SCRIPTURE: "In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:6
Being in college there are a lot of mental and emotional stressors that can impact and dilute your confidence and self-esteem. During my 2nd year in college, I was faced with a decision regarding my future. The burning questions were (1) am I making the right decision and (2) am I sure about what I want to pursue as a career? These questions were constantly coming back to my mind. Navigating this unclear path I had no choice but to take it out of my hands.
While at school it was so easy to go astray, so when I ran into things that seemed extremely challenging, I tried to remember that I could go to God and ask for direction. This pursuit of my future and the choice I had to make with myself required me to consult the Lord. I had to allow Him to take the denial, stress, and doubt away from my mind.
After praying about it, letting go, and letting God, I eventually was led and had a clearer view of my path. This year I decided to declare my concentration in Forensic Psychology, this has opened jobs, more academic opportunities, and careers for my future. Trust in Him and the path is clear.
Prayer: Lord I am stuck; I am left with a decision about my future and don’t know which way to go. Guide me Lord, direct me in the path that best suits Your will. Remove my doubt, add confidence to my thoughts and decisions. In Jesus name, Amen.
