Good for Me but Not for Thee

We conclude this week's Devotional theme, “Restoration” on a strong note. Be encouraged, reminded, and rebuked by God's Word and today's devotional!
SCRIPTURE: “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.” Galatians 6:1
Have you noticed:
WHEN the other believer acts a certain way, they are ugly; when I do, it’s because of stress.
WHEN others are set in their ways, they’re obstinate; when I am, it’s firmness.
WHEN someone picks flaws in things, they’re critical; when I do, I’m being creative.
WHEN someone says what they think, they are spiteful; when I do, I am being frank.
Could it be:
WHEN I am overtaken in a trespass, I want the Lord’s forgiveness and mercy and if I have offended someone, I want their forgiveness.

But isn’t it just like the Holy Spirit to bring back to our remembrance when I didn’t show mercy to another individual. Matthew 7:3 and 5, “And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” In our Christian walk, we are to have mutual forbearance and compassion towards each other as fellow Kingdom brothers and sisters. Even towards the unbeliever, we should do as Jesus would do – love our enemies.

We are God’s workmanship (masterpiece), created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 Let us praise the Lord for being the Potter Who has chosen us as His clay BEFORE TIME so that IN TIME He will conform for ALL TIME His creation for His GLORY!!!

Prayer: Thank You Lord for never leaving or forsaking us. May we example Your love, mercy, and grace to others as You have sooooo many times to us. Thank You that we are still a work in PROGRESS!!!
