SCRIPTURE: “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.” James 1:20-25
Saints, it’s another great day to get caught up on past GBFC Devotionals. How many times have we read a scripture and before day’s end it vanishes like a vapor?  Delight yourselves in the scriptures and purpose to appropriate them. Glean, once again, from the perspectives of each writer.  How good it is to encourage one another in God’s Word. Be encouraged Saints of God.

PRAYER: Dear Jesus, how often do we run through Your Word, just to get “It” done? When the “It” is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edge sword. The “It” is good for doctrine, reproof, correction, for instruction in righteousness. Lord, let us not run past the height, depth , width and length of Your Word! As we hide “It” in our hearts may we also purpose to do “It.” In Jesus name we pray, Amen!

Amen ! We need to be more hearers of the word, but doers of the word, allow the word to bear fruit to the glory of God..
