Evening Prayers

Scripture: Psalms 91:4-6 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

As I collect my thoughts from a long day
More and more I realize who keeps me okay

It’s nothing but the Lord that gets me through my matters
It’s nothing but His mercy that covers what’s unflattering

It’s nothing but His grace that fill in my blanks
He rescues me from trials, before the ship begins to tank

The giant obstacles before me appear so mighty
But, the Lord reveals throughout the day, He is almighty

Through yesterdays, todays, and tomorrows, He’s never changed
Through circumstances, trouble, and pain, He’s exactly the same

My evening prayers can rely on Him now and down the line
His persistence and consistency cause me to remember the times  

I am loved by a sovereign God that is truly faithful
Not by chance, luck, or fortune, He is trustworthy and able

Therefore, I am encouraged even when matters are frightening and scary
The moments of being weak, hurt, or hobbled, the Lord is there to carry

Prayer: I thank You Lord! Even for the past trials. Each allowed me to see Your power and love. Those spiritual encounters have ensured me of how reliable and capable You are in all circumstances. My big problems are no match for my big GOD. Lord, continue to renew my heart and mind. I lift these things in the name of Jesus, Amen!
