Of Value

Scripture:  I Peter 2:9 – But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Ephesians 2:10 – For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

When we have private property or anything of value, we want to protect that property; therefore, we may use a sign that reads, Of Value – Do Not Touch.  As long as that property is ours and deemed valuable to us, we would, most likely not be led to remove the sign.  This is how God feels about us once we become his.  He revealed His value for us when He sent His Son to die for our sins.  In and through His sovereignty, we were valuable to our God!!  Thank You Jesus!!  He saved us for Himself; to have an intimate relationship; to defend and protect us.  He is our Strong Tower (Prov. 18:10).  We are His property; He wants us to run to Him only when we are threatened or experience the insecurities in this World.  Therefore, there is a walk that we should walk; there is a talk we should talk; For we are His and He treasures us!!  We ought to have a humbleness and reverence toward Him.  For we owe Him glory, praise & Honor for what He has done for us.  We should not have an attitude to readily move His stamp of ownership on us.  He did not purchase us cheaply, but we were acquired with the costly precious blood of Jesus, the Christ (1 Peter 1:18-19).  We meant so much to God that He could fathom buying us with the corruption of silver or gold.  We are cherished; we belong to Him because He died for us and we actively received His gift of love.  God’s plan was set and He intended on making our  dirty filthy vessels prize processions, despite the devil’s wishes to devour, devalue, and discount what God values.  Therefore, our value has nothing to do with the way we feel.  We are treasured by the Lord forever even until the end of the earth!!

Prayer:  Lord, we thank You for how You have captured us for Your purposes and glory.  Help us to know who we are in You and never value what this world offers over all. You have granted us in and through Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  We are grateful for Your mighty provision and LOVE!!  In Jesus’ Name-Amen!
