He said I thank you, and gave thanks

Scriptures: (Luke 22:19) And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them saying, “This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
(John 11: 41b-42) And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You, that You have heard Me.” 42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that you sent me.”
(Philippians 2:5-10) Is one of those challenging scriptures that I memorized and meditate on daily in my Christian walk. 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even to the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven and those on earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father.
As I matured in my Christian walk Christ taught me a powerful but necessary lesson. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God. Made Himself of no reputation………… Pause.. pause ..pause…
The Christian life was not about me; it was not about me at all. It was about Jesus who called me to be used for His Glory. My walk was not about protecting my reputation, it was about me daily being thankful that my Savior and Lord chose me before the foundation of the world.
Our wonderful Savior and Lord was on His way to Calvary and yet He yielded to His Father an attitude of thankfulness. The Gospels recorded His thankfulness to His Father on behalf of those who the Father gave to Him. Christ attitude of thankfulness was greater than being thankful for just mere food. He came to die for the sins of mankind, and destroy the power of Satan, sin and death.
Saints I am reminded of that powerful hymn by Fanny Cosby. To God be the Glory Great things He hath done, so loved He the world that He gave us His son. Who yielded His life an atonement for sin, and opened the life gate that all may go in. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear His voice, praise the Lord, praise the Lord let the people rejoice. Oh, come to the father through Jesus the Son, and give Him the Glory great things He has done.
Prayer: Eternal God in the name of my King of Glory Jesus I bow. I am so grateful and thankful that you left no stone of my heart unturned. You chose me and appointed me to go a bear fruit and that my fruit should remain. I want to have a balance when it comes to being thankful. You saved me for your will and your good pleasure.
