SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER with Pastor Wayne Cockrell

SCRIPTURE:  “Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in Your way. 38 Establish Your word to Your servant, who is devoted to fearing You. 39 Turn away my reproach which I dread, for Your judgments are good.” Psalm 119:37-39
Prayer: Eternal God and our gracious Father, we do once again as a people bow before Your Holy presence in anticipation that You would speak to us once again.  You have been faithful, and You have given unto us the promise that Your Word will always accomplish that for which You purpose. So that gives us, Father, anticipation, and expectation that You would do something in us in response to what we hear. So we ask now, God, that You would have Your way in our hearts. You see us for what we are, nothing is hidden from You. Every obstacle internal and external is known. Every challenge that seems insurmountable is already known and conquered by You. So we ask now that You would speak a Word through this servant and use me that I may speak in accordance to Your oracles so this people who are gathered would leave having a greater sense of urgency about obeying what You have told us to do. That we might indeed be people who will shine as lights in the midst of a crocked and perverse generation. We ask it all in Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen.

How precious is the ministry of the word which by way of the Spirit can turn a soul to a saint. We bless You O' LORD.
