SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER with Pastor Wayne Cockrell

SCRIPTURE:  "Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth! 2 Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious. 3 Say to God, 'How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You. 4 All the earth shall worship You and sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name.' Selah 5 Come and see the works of God;
He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men." Psalm 66:1-5
Prayer:  Our Father in Heaven, once again You have caused us to marvel at the magnitude of Your doing and Your dealings with us. You are just sometimes too big and too great for us to wrap our minds around all that You do, and then the kinds of people You do it in, and You do it for.   What we can do sometimes is just humble ourselves under Your mighty hand and to praise Your name. For You are great and You are to greatly be praised. We cannot at times formulate words that fully express the magnitude of the revelation of Yourself. So we just bow before You and we worship You.  We bow our hearts before You and we offer thanksgiving to You that You have made us one of them. One of them whom You have loved and called out of darkness that we can now, this day, call ourselves children of the Living GOD and we praise You for that. Oh God, I pray that every ear that has heard today, might have an overwhelming experience in our hearts. An unhindered, clear impact of being in Your presence and living under the umbrella of Your grace. This day we rejoice because You are the GOD of our salvation. You have given unto us the great gift of Your SON, Jesus, who is our Savior and our Lord, who sits at the right-hand making intercession for us. We come and pray in confidence, not because of what we’ve done, but because of what Jesus has done. Because of the great invitation You have given unto us to seek You, because You are there to be found if we seek you with all of our hearts. Oh Lord, we seek You! We look to You from whence comes our help. Our help comes from above and we praise You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
