You Better 'T-H-I-N-K'
Scripture: "...Holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain." Philippians 2:16
A few days ago Debora and I attended a church's health fair. We were not a part of its staffing, so we were free to walk about and chat up various vendors. Along the way we met one of the more seniorly members of the church who was a retired minister of this congregation. As she entered the conversation I was having with someone else it became clear how highly invested she was in the life of this church and the community. She was simply precious. She offered a bit of wisdom and reliving of experiences from which I gained an acronym that she offered:
THINK!
Yes, before we act with our lips, or our bodies. Think. Are we about to say [or do] something which is True [or based on truth]. think. Is it Helpful? think. Is it Inspiring? think. Is it Necessary? think. Would it be thought of as Kind? think. THINK first. THINK upon prayer. Then and only then should we act, [upon that prayerfully considered]. THINK, with Bibles opened, pages turning, gaze illumined. THINK.
If our 'Thinking' is right, then in all likelihood our conduct will be right. If our 'Thinking' is rightly oriented, then most likely our feelings will align with the right orientation.
If our 'Thinking' is right, then likely we will lend a favorable influence within our circle of peers, within our families, within our community, within our class, within our workplace, within our teams, within our squads, within our congregations, and throughout our relationships.
True. Helpful. Inspiring. Necessary. Kind.
Be a good THINKER!
You will bless GOD, and others.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to bring into submission these thoughts, and this mind that I might please You increasingly, each day. This I prayerfully ask, in Jesus' name.

Amen! What a thought provoking devotional. THINK 🤔 Thank you brother Brockington.
Amen, thank you Bro. Neal. This brings to my mind Proverbs 23:7 "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he."ðŸ™ðŸ½
Amen brother. Think soberly. I am reminded of the phrase, "not to think of himself more highly than he ought to" (Rom. 12:3).
Amen, wisdom of the ages!
