Seeing Life God’s Way
Scripture: "Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes, And I shall keep it to the end. 34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart. 35 Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it. 36 Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to covetousness. 37 Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, And revive me in
Your way. 38 Establish Your word to Your servant, Who is devoted to fearing You. 39 Turn away my reproach which I dread, For Your judgments are good. 40 Behold, I long for Your precepts; Revive me in Your righteousness." Psalm 119:33-40

For so long I lived according to my views and perspectives day to day,
Failing to realize my calling and how it relates to seeing life God’s way;
Although I truly honor and love the Lord,
I require His teaching to fulfill spiritual voids;
So, I have to fix my focus on the Lord for spiritual matters to be handled,
Fixing my focus means that I will follow Christ as the qualified example;
Only the Lord can preserve me in His ways,
He stabilizes my heart during my weary days;
My focus through His lens will bring clarity to who owns me,
It’s the opportunity for Him to train, teach, and encourage me;
Then His ways will become my ways over time,
Faithfulness will cause what He says and what I say to rhyme;
This produces a desire and dependency to know,
Granting me His understanding as I commit to follow;
Meanwhile, it’s my duty to be obedient,
The Holy Spirit and I must be in agreement;
I can’t walk without God’s teaching,
Sadly, at times, He has to provoke me to reach me;
Lord, I know You are after something,
My great need for You ties to what I’m becoming;
Despite, my great desire to please You, exist,
I require You to make me do what’s right to persist;
The highest discipline is yielding myself to You,
Your involvement, interaction, and intervention bring the truth;
Although my failures are exposed, Your mercy triggers my gratefulness,
A good Word reveals the sin in me, but it also produces righteousness;
Therefore, I will continue to pursue what You teach me to the end,
All things are for my good, and my good is where Your glory begins.
Prayer: Lord, continue to wipe my eyes clean so that I can see what You see.
Remove the things that blur my vision. Meanwhile, I will keep my eyes on You. In
the name of Your Son, Amen.
