Who are you?

Scripture: Deuteronomy 28:13 – I am the head and not the tail, and I only go up and not down in life as I trust and obey God.
Ephesians 1:7 – I am redeemed – forgiven of all my sins and made clean through the blood of Christ.
Colossians 1:13 – I have been rescued from the domain and the power of darkness and brought into God’s kingdom.
Colossians 2:7 – My life is rooted in my faith in Christ and I overflow with thanksgiving for all He has done for me.
We are Blessed; (Phil. 4:19)
We are In Christ; (2 Cor. 5:17)
We are a child of God (We are His possession); (1 John 3:1)
We are chosen by God adopted (valued); (Eph. 1:5)
We are royal priesthood; (I Peter 2:9)
We are guiltless (because of the blood of Christ); (1 John 1:17)
We are the Church (not a building or a meeting place, but we are where God, His glory and holiness reside) (1 Cor. 12:27)
The enemy wants to define us. You know what happens when you are found in a sin. To some, you become the very act, the tragedy, the fault that easily beset you; but God! After we have accepted the gift of Christ and all of His forgiveness and love, we should not ever heed to what others may call us. We must be expedient and diligent to do the work to know who we are in Christ, no matter our faults. We must not allow the world to try to mold and shape our thinking, but instead we must raise up the Name of Christ and His work on the cross for the world. Scripture teaches that once we accept Christ as our Lord & Savior, we are His workmanship; we are the salt and the light of the earth; We are His letters and ministers to the world (2 Cor. 3:2-3); we are more than conquerors (Rom. 8:37); we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps. 139:14); we are, in deed, owned by the God the Father. We have access to the God of the Universe not because of anything in or about us, but because by faith we accepted God the Son; we embrace His coming for the soul purpose of dying for the lost. Christ changed us and we are no longer an offense to God and His purposes. Now, we are His chosen vessels (Rom. 8:14-16); we are quickened (made alive) unto Christ; we are hidden with Christ in God; we are the redeemed! We were chosen because of God’s sovereignty. That’s powerful!! We were dead, rotten, and enemies of God, “but God” gave us great value when He “chose” to demonstrate His Love and compassion toward us. We are Holy because of His residence in us; God’s grace set us up to be “peculiar” (I Peter 2:9 acquired for His pleasure and purposes), and because we are His, we are so valued that He has given us the right to boldly come to His throne of grace; We are set apart/sanctified, unique, valuable all so we may point others to the Great & Holy God who possesses all dominion and power.
Prayer: Lord, we thank You for Your compassion towards us. We thank You that Your Greatness is made known to us and that because of all You are, we can know who we are. Lord, help us to readily show others who You are and how much You “so love the world”. Thank You for Your transformational grace and wisdom… In Jesus’ Name-Amen!
