Our Loyalty is His Royalty

Scripture:  2 Chronicles 16:9  -  For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”

I’m not fooling anyone, but myself
Living as if I don’t need the Lord’s help

I claim His name at my convenience
Praying on my time, yet ignoring His allegiance

Not realizing my every move is noted
The Lord is aware of my daily devotions

He wants to see who I serve as priority
He wants to know who I answer to as authority

Clearly, I am out of order and far from loyal
The Lord has not been revered as heavenly royal

Despite, He promised to show himself strong
My loyalty to Him is absent, weak, and wrong

Forgive me Father, I am foolish in my ways
I desire the reward of a loyal heart for the rest of my days

So, as your eyes go to and fro the whole earth
My prayers are to become loyal by making You first

Prayer:  Lord, You know the amount of hairs on my head. You can’t be fooled. I am asking that You Continue to renew my heart and make me new. You deserve better than a performance. You deserve praise, commitment, and worship. Thank You for mercy! Thank You for patience! Thank You for faithfulness! I come to You in the name of Your Son, Amen!
