To the Forgiven
SCRIPTURE: “bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also MUST do.” Colossians 3:13
Christ, our Lord, is the presentation, demonstration, and yes, the substantiation of God’s love and forgiveness! Before time, as well as in the fullness of time, God determined a redemptive plan for a world of unholy and unrighteous souls. Souls that were in trouble and on their way to hell. Hallelujah!! Grateful to God!!
He believed us to be worth saving; therefore, He sent God the Son, the only One qualified to take the wrath and penalty of our sin that we may gain a relationship with the Father. This is a picture of forgiveness at unreachable heights! Only God can love and forgive like this; and because of Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross and His triumphant resurrection back to the Father, can we, too, love and forgive?
Christ endured His flesh being torn apart violently and His blood pouring from His body to satisfy the Father’s holy demands against sin. Therefore, how can we who accept His sacrifice as a means to have a relationship with the Father, and at any point or for any situation choose not to forgive another. It is true. We have no room to say who we will not love with our God given ability to forgive. Let us who embrace Christ’s work readily (with our whole will on deck) render love to other “unworthies” to the Glory of our Lord.
PRAYER: Lord, help us to jump at the chance to use the mighty power we have in You to show the world the great difference You make in the people who say they love You. Thank You, Lord! You deserve Great Glory for You love us to pieces. May we always remember You and conduct ourselves accordingly! It is In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen!
