THE MEDIA: Media, Media On The Wall; Who's The Fairest Of Them All?

45 Days of Praying for the Elections - DAY 34

If you find yourself in a conversational network, you surely want to influence others with a view that borrows from dependable accurate sources, and well-tested advice which is factually solid. You want to contribute clarity to the unclear. You want to lead with reliable thoughts that will encourage appropriate, even spiritually sound actions. You want to be honest, focused, seasoned, humble, relevant, and intelligent as you engage. You want to be 'smarter than a fifth-grader'. Well, lotsa luck! [or perhaps not]

We have been available to have counsel, which is both perfect and perfecting! We have been given 'excellent things of counsel and knowledge' by the Lord, transmitted through anointed men and women chosen by God, who through obedience, has prospered us with a sixty-six book library, basic instructions before leaving earth. We have been equipped with a faith community raised up to foster its own through a fellowship which upholds the Word of life, motivated to lend life beyond its walls. Speaking life. Giving light. Daring to live out the love of Christ which sought us and saved us. We have an inner counsel, the Spirit.
That is our reality, but not surprisingly, there is more... "...the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one..." (1 John 5:19). There is "...the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience..." (Ephesians 2:2). "...your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." (1 Peter 5:8). "There is none righteous, no, not one..." ( Romans 3:10).

With these oppositional realities we have one fair election to make, and it is daily. We must be disciples of Christ, which is to Live godly, Love everyone, and Pray for better days. To walk in the Spirit, and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. To not be conformed with the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of the mind. Pray that our leadership is so adoptive.
As this oft happens throughout our world, it is doubtful that most news and media outlets will show this without their own slant, if at all. Support those which do rightly, and 'unfriend' those which don't. Praise God when 'fairness' breaks through, but meanwhile lace up your boots, roll up your sleeves, and be on the alert... for we wrestle not against flesh and blood. Every celebrity is not a friend, nor is every smile honest. Eyes up!

Indeed, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10  Thank You Jesus!

Prayer: Dear Lord, whether we have supportive popular opinion or not, and whether or not the media turns to being fair-minded and without bias, quicken our courage to be our own living media in the eyes of those near and those virtually nearby, day to day, as to be unmistakably 'sold out for Christ'! Be Jesus' billboard with joy and with power! And let someone in our path discover their own historic turn today, to their own eternal well-being. May we all contribute and live out the anointing within.
God's will be done. Amen.
