THE MEDIA: Pay Attention

45 Days of Praying for the Elections - DAY 33
SCRIPTURE: “The King’s strength also loves justice; You have established equity; You have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.” Psalm 99:4
In Micah 6:8b, it reads, “And what does the Lord require of you; but to do justly; to love mercy; and to walk humbly with your God.” God requires his people to align themselves and to be found in His amazing and righteous justice. Therefore, we, who are justified in and because of Christ, shall live by our faith in the Lord and all He has proclaimed in His Word.

Mere men shake their fists at God and His established laws. We know this because the natural man cannot find God by searching for Him in their flesh.  During many elections we hear the media’s persuasions and coercions of issues and candidates rather than just (no pun intended) the facts. The media uses their power to spin the truth to ultimately influence constituents (believers and unbelievers) to vote for that which favors their views on national issues.

Our prayer for this election is that voters, especially those of the Faith in the Lord Jesus, would vote for what they know God has already said.  The enemy will shoot his fiery darts of affliction at those of us who represent or bear marks of the Lord Jesus. May the Word of God guide us to the choice of candidate; and lead us as to how to answer any social questions. Help us to remain awake to the delusions that the enemy would like to intrude upon us, especially in the areas of abortion innocence, gender or sexuality confusion, and the redefinition of marriage. Certainly, we would not want to lean on our intellect, emotions, or any guilt tricks that the media throws our way. We want to stand and then stand unequivocally, triumphantly for what God has said in His Word.

Prayer: Lord, we thank You! Thank You for the ability to see Your Hand in our matters on the earth. For You loved us so that You gave us Jesus that we would be able to do justly; to love mercy; and to walk humbly with You. Because of Jesus’ work on the cross, man is given the opportunity for relationship and fellowship with You. We are grateful for the ability in Jesus to hear You. Help us to always be motivated and focused to live and stand for the advancement of Your kingdom. In Jesus’ Name-Amen!

Amen ?? Sis. Lisa. May we seek the Lord and His Kingdom first in all of our decisions and all that we do. Leaning on and trusting in Him and His word, not our feelings or opinions.

Amen!! Amen, Sister Williams. May we all (believers) be followers of Christ. Let us obey God rather than man.
