OUR NATION AND THE ISSUES IT FACES: Justice for All, Tempered by Mercy and Compassion
45 Days of Praying for the Elections
SCRIPTURE: "Then the word of the Lord came to Zechariah, saying, 'Thus has the Lord of hosts said, Dispense true justice, and practice kindness and compassion each to his brother..." Zechariah 7:8,9 NASB

What Can Be, Unburdened by What Has Been. There has been an incident upon which all good is substantiated: Jesus Christ crucified and Him risen... God's own offer of tangible mercy for a needy people. Receiving Him, in earnest, precedes the dispensing of true justice, the fullest practice of kindness, and selfless compassion. This is at its height 'Love in action'. This 'burden' of grace affords us the good which can be. We need to be 'unburdened' of all substitutes and run to Jesus. Do all, in remembrance of Him.
We need to be 'unburdened' by histories of harm [we've caused], and hurts [we have], as we run to Jesus. God offers a reason to hope, sufficient to undo every captivity and break every chain. Ask Zechariah. "'...Return to Me...that I may return to you’ says the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 1:3
There is truest justice, utter kindness, and unrelenting compassion spoken and declared from heaven through the cross. America, come to Me. One nation under God, come to Me. "...But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind, and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:13,14 [NASB]
Prayer: Unto the King Eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. Most precious Lord and Almighty Savior, I pray for our nation and the issues it faces, its need and cry for revival and for unity yet while having ambivalence, if not hostility towards godly wisdom. Not unique to this season there is a very natural, humanistic reach that brings its solutions. Its 'light' can be dark. Draw forth, however Your remnant to speak truth to power, a minority awakened upon the good news of Jesus Christ, and His living word, aroused and led by the Spirit of grace. As each and every voice of these matters, may we be aligned with You Lord, and in one accord with each other, even right now, that the product of our engagement be the shining of the Sacred throughout our laws and appetites. May mercy feed each liberty, and find us grateful. Your will be done. Amen.

Amen!
Amen!
Amen & Amen!
Amen. Lead us Lord.
Arise Lord God Almighty, and let Your glory reign over our nation. Amen??
And that's the rub: If we could only forget the wrong things and remember/purpose/be intentional to do the right things. Amen Brother!
