Patience in Prayer

The simplicity of God’s Word is not meant to confound, but to encourage us. Our Genesis Bible Fellowship Youth and Young Adults (Gen. B.FY) have depicted the challenges of their faith walk and reminded us of when we too faced the same. Oh Saints, be encouraged and please encourage our Gen. B.FY.

SCRIPTURE: "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus" 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Prayer is our direct communication with God, but sometimes we find ourselves only praying when we need something. I, myself, fall victim to this sometimes. We cannot have a relationship with God without talking to Him, which is through prayer. It is so easy to only talk to someone when you need/want something, but we should value God more than that. We should talk to Him all the time, even when we do not need anything.

Prayer: Dear God I pray that You help me to stay focused on You. It is easy to fall into the temptations that life brings, but I pray my vision stays focused on You. I pray that You help me to not only come to You when I am in need, but pray to You all the time. Amen
