The Pursuit for Peace
Sometimes our once bubbly effervescent faith becomes a deflated helium balloon. You’ve seen it before, faith that scuttles along, dragging itself from here to there as the wind blows. But, wait a minute! We are anchored in Christ through faith and the Word of God and this week our Devotional Team will remind us of some fundamental truths in God’s Word from this week’s topic, “Discouragement.” This scripture is a keeper, so commit it to memory!!!!
SCRIPTURE: “Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:” Hebrews 12:12-14
Lord! I’ve been running this race for a while, and honestly, I am fatigued,
My hands, knees, feet, limbs, and joints are worn out from You chastening me.
The race presented hurdles, obstacles, and dangerous lanes where peace and trouble are intersecting,
The path and route I ran gave me problems that needed redirection, healing, and correction.
The Lord knew that I needed strict and effective discipline,
So, the first step I needed to take was to address any outstanding sin.
The next step required was to demonstrate true repentance,
This will strengthen me to restore my relationship with the Lord, and His excellence.
This race certainly requires His grace to run at a sanctified pace,
The pursuit of peace demands my natural ways and plans to change.
The initiative and eagerness of my pursuit will be spiritually measured,
My peace with other people, even my enemies, the Lord values, and treasures.
Disputes and quarrels will hinder the Lord restoring and sanctifying us,
Refusing to resent my offenders and forgiving that person who wronged us.
As the race continues, the Lord has prepared us for a closer and holier relationship,
His gesture towards us is the mirror image of believers in harmony and fellowship.
There is a significant difference between peace with God and peace of God,
Peace with God reflects salvation, peace of God reflects lifestyle by doing our part.
Therefore, all that I’ve encountered, suffered, and endured prepared me for my faith race,
Finishing strong means, seek peace and love others, so our victory will expose God’s glory and grace.
Prayer: Lord! You have made everything available for us to endure. You promised to never give us more than we could handle. More importantly, You made it clear that You chasten those You love. Lord! Strengthen us to do our parts, so that we will imitate how You love us. In the matchless name of Jesus I pray!

Amen!
Thank You LORD for the VICTORY!!
The pursuit for peace, may it ne'er cease, for the hope we have on high...
As we wander, wonder, ponder here, with prayers to reach the sky-
With hopes we have these all reach God, as He has reached we all,
And so we pray, and walk by faith upon the precious call.
Amen! Peace is possible when you remember to give thanks to God!!
Amen, Lord...continue to strengthen us in the inner man that we may stand.
