SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER WITH PASTOR WAYNE COCKRELL

SCRIPTURE: "Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. 24 'The Lord is my portion,' says my soul, 'Therefore I hope in Him!' 25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. 26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord."  Lamentations 3:22-26
Our eternal God and Gracious Father, we thank You once again this morning for the great gift of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Our hearts, as a people gathered in Your name, melt in Your presence recognizing Your awesomeness and how great You are and the many ways You have manifested Your grace and Your faithfulness towards us. And in saying that we are also mindful that we are unworthy of all the blessings You have bestowed upon us. Surely You have been better to us that we have deserved, we thank You. We lift our voices of praise and thanksgiving to You, because we know that we would not be here today if it wasn’t for Your loving kindness and tender mercies. Father for those who are struggling through all the issues of life, there is nothing that escapes Your knowing. We pray God that You would speak a Word to that heart today and that You might cause us as Your people, to have a Word applied to our hearts that moves us in the direction You want us to be in. That You would clear up our confusion, heal our hurts, that You might reveal Your Son, Jesus to us and manifest the revelation of who You are, because we know the people who know their God shall be strong and shall do many wonderful and great things. We want to be among that number of people who know You very well. Use this preacher, I pray, to speak in accordance to Your Words so people will leave here having said, “We heard God speak to us,” and we will give You praise, and give You thanks in Jesus’ name, Amen!
