All My Heart & All My Ways

SCRIPTURE: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;  6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil.“ Proverbs 3:5 - 7
There is no greater nugget of God’s wisdom that can be given unto us to understand the totality of God’s desire to be a part of our lives and at the same time give unto us the promises that assure the highest quality of life under His watchful care for us. It involves the sum total in which we are willing to surrender “ALL MY HEART” to trusting Him and “ALL MY WAYS “in acknowledging Him in the life that I am supposed to be living for Him. These verses for our devotion today are wisdom from God about the safe and blessed life.

The first consideration that our LORD seems to reveal to us is that we cannot hold back when it comes to trusting Him. There is no room for doubt, suspicion and even being ruled by fear in our relationship with Him. The “trust” is not about our natural abilities, but in what the title of “LORD” means to us in our faith relationship with Him. It is not only trusting Him in everything, but it’s also trusting Him with everything. There can be no area of my deepest inner being, which we call the heart, where we harbor and shield anything that the LORD cannot have dominion over. The same “ALL” we put in trusting Him with the saving, redeeming, forgiving and even the hearing us when we first believed is the same “ALL” He requires of us now as we live the life of being saved through Him.

Secondly, our LORD wants to direct and guide us into His Will and His Ways through His Word and His Spirit. He lets us know that we do not have to lean on our own understanding but look to Him and the Word He has given us so that the paths of His Wisdom can be unfolded for us. Be accountable to check what seems right to us with His understanding of knowing what is right for us.

Thirdly, our LORD wants to be “ACKNOWLEDGED” in “ALL” of our ways. He does not simply want us to know about Him, but He must be a very present, intimate, and conscious part of the life we are living. In all of our ways of life we are not only to be aware of His presence, but we are to live with an accountability to His presence. The life that acknowledges the LORD in all of our ways will have a personal, intimate sensitivity that also wants to know what the LORD’s wants are. Here is the tremendous truth that separates our LORD apart and above anything and any being worshipped by other religions, He wants to share His goodness in our lives and bless us with His benefits that will result in greater reasons to trust Him more with ALL MY HEART & ALL MY WAYS”.

Prayer:
Oh LORD and our God, words cannot always be found with our lips to describe the marvelous and wonderful truths of what You are to us. Please unfold more of Your ways of wisdom to us that we can have no room for going astray from You. In Jesus Name, amen.
