Seeing What God Sees to Get What God Has

The Success in life that God intends for us cannot be obtained nor can it be sustained without seeing life as God sees it for us. It must be understood that the Christian life is not just about being saved, but it is God revealing to us what His purpose is for us, a purpose that God determined before the foundation of the world.  God did not make us a script for our lives when He saved us, but when He saved us, He saved us for a predetermined purpose, but the problem is that we must see it. The whole idea of the Word of God, is, is it valuable to you? You are supposed to say “Amen,” and some of you are telling the truth, others of you are lying, and others of you are smart enough to keep your mouth closed. Without having the right attitude about the Word of God you probably will not see as God wants you to see.

It is miserable to be a Christian and to keep on thinking like you used to think. It’s miserable to be a Christian and know you ought to be blessed, know that you ought to be seeing somethings in your life, and not seeing it. Chances are it’s right under your nose and because you are not seeing according to a brand new mind that is filled with the Word of God, you miss what God intends for you to see.

We are excited about blessed is the man who does not associate with the wrong kinds of people. Many times what distracts us is that we find ourselves walking, standing, and sitting with the wrong kinds of people. The problem with that is that people tend to influence us or distract us from seeing, or thinking like God thinks. To walk with the ungodly and to sit with the scornful and to stand with the sinners you and I have, to some degree, condescend and think like we used to think. The ungodly cannot think like we are capable of thinking, but to have a sustained ongoing relationship with them, we must come down to their level of thinking. That is the only way it works. That is the only way an unequally yoked dynamic works is that we come down. The problem is that they can’t come up and we will come down and the reason that some of us will come down is because we have never learned to go up.

Prayer: Our God and our Father, we want to experience the success You have intended for us. You have said, “Blessed is the man who walks” in a particular way and we want to walk in that way, not by our might nor by our power, but by Your Spirit! We pray these things in Your matchless name, Amen.
