Unqualified Believers Joining Together for Heavenly Purposes

In the days leading to Christmas and the New Year let us focus on the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While many debate the actual date of our Savior’s birth, we rejoice that he has come, just as our Father said He would! So as we leave those details aside for men to grapple with, let us focus on the miracle and the fulfillment of Jesus' birth!
SCRIPTURE: 39 Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, 40 and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. 41 And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45 Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” Luke 1:39-45
The Lord sent an Angel to Mary to inform her, she was chosen for a miraculous birth,
This favored woman will be the mother of our Lord and Savior who will become man on earth.

Mary received this revelation without a doubt and immediately believed it,
However, her circumstance wasn’t ideal for her to appropriately achieve it.

Who would be able to relate, support, and believe such a task at hand,
A poor virgin woman called to birth the prophecy of such divine demands.

That same angel spoke to Mary’s cousin with a prophecy of good news,
Elizabeth and her husband were childless and old which made this usual.

So, Mary traveled quickly to visit her cousin Elizabeth in a city called Judah,
Soon realized they were both blessed and okay with what the Lord was doing.

Elizabeth’s baby leaped while in her womb and on-site was filled with the Holy Spirit,
A time to rejoice with great anticipation of the Messiah’s heavenly fulfillment.

Mary was curious, yet honored, while questioning “Why is this granted to me?”
The belief was established with Mary and Elizabeth before the children were even perceived.

Mary’s presence created eagerness and hope for this baby boy,
It caused Elizabeth’s child, even in her womb, to leap for joy.

Initially, both expected shame and embarrassment, yet they were chosen to fulfill a divine void,
As prophesied, Elizabeth had a righteous man named John and Mary would birth our Savior and Lord.

Do we believe today with great anticipation and joy for the coming of Christ?
Another prophecy that will certainly be fulfilled during, or after my earthly life.

Joining with other unfit and imperfect believers to share the perfect gift, Christ Jesus,
Teaching and witnessing His birth, death, resurrection, and Christmas true meaning.

Prayer: I await with great anticipation for the Lord Jesus Christ's return. Meanwhile, I will continue to join with other believers to make His name known to the world. Thank You for saving me, Lord! In the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

Two or more gathered together (Mary Elizabeth and in utero, John)... Mary was blessed, John leapt, Elizabeth prophesied being filled with the Spirit all in the presence of Jesus, yet born - sounds like church to me!

Merry Christmas y'all. Hallelujah!

Amen, if Mary had one iota of doubt, Elizabeth confirmed Mary's assignment. Praise God for those He sends to encourage us.
