PROTECTION FOR SCATTERED SIBLINGS: Our Hands and His Mercy; Our Reach and His Grace.
We wind down this last week of November with devotionals centered around the theme PROTECTION OF SCATTERED MEMBERS. Enjoy what our team has developed for your spiritual edification and challenge!
SCRIPTURE: "But now GOD has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as HE desired... that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another." 1 Corinthians 12:18,25 [NASB]
"As we gratefully hold fast the word of life, this too we also embrace: '... if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.'" 1 Corinthians 12:26
"As we gratefully hold fast the word of life, this too we also embrace: '... if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.'" 1 Corinthians 12:26
The LORD values all, and it is not merit-based, but based on inherent worth, as we were created. So should we not be a 'respecter of persons'. In valuing all we are being godly. This applies to the household of faith, including our 'drifting saints'.
Permit that grace in you to meet the drifting saints, and the challenged saints. It is a step of faith, and probably not as earth-shaking as the call might be for others living out their faith in hostile places, before hostile faces.
"He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much." Luke 16:10 Extend the 'olive branch', and leave to God what is His to respond to... recall how God, and the godly pursued you. Show the effect of the gospel in your life, and don't be shy to share it as the Spirit leads.
"...what woman, if she has ten silver coins and loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying Rejoice with me for I have found the coin which I had lost! In the same way, I tell you there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:8-10
Let us be poised to receive our scattered siblings, those drifting saints, expressing the same mercy, and the same grace which impressed us. Let us be, and bring the umbrella for those souls, for indeed, this is quite the rainy season. "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together... but encouraging one another..." Hebrews 10:23-25
Prayer: Heavenly Father, find of us an endearing gratefulness that shines brightly across all of our speaking and doing, building value in fellowship, and encouraging all others, certainly the family. As the hymn goes, O' Come All Ye Faithful, Joyful And Triumphant. Until and beyond their return let our scattered siblings know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, Your hand of blessing is at work. And as well, our lively hope for them continues day by day. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Amen 🙌ðŸ½
Amen 🙠Amen!
Amen! Yes, the Lord's eyes are on the scattered believer and He and He alone can bring them to repentance, and He waits with outstretched arms.
Amen, the Lord God is the absolute best Father, He awaits the return of His drifting children. For the children who did not stray, we need to be humble and receive without prejudice the one returning.
