SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER with Pastor Wayne Cockrell

SCRIPTURE: “O Lord, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. 5 You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me.” Psalm 139:1-5
Prayer: Father again we come, knowing that You are never tired of Your children coming to You. We open Your Word, Father, admitting to You that we need the Word from You. You see what we need. You understand our thoughts afar off. You have our tomorrows in Your mind as if it were today. So Father, we ask that You would use this Word some way, somehow, as You have promised to accomplish in us that which You purposed.  Help us, Father God, to be attentive, to be alert, to be opened, to be mindful of Your hand and have Your voice speaking to us. Use this servant as a preacher once again that I may speak this day in accordance to Your oracles and we’ll give You praise and give You thanks, Lord God. We ask this in Jesus’s name, Amen!
