REMOVAL OF CONFUSION: Choosing the Author of My Life

Our Devotional Team has some great perspectives instore for you based on this week’s theme Removal of Confusion. By week’s end not only will you have a better understanding about confusion, but you will also have 1 Corinthians 14:33 committed to memory.
SCRIPTURE: “For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.” 1 Corinthians 14:33
My Lord is not the author of confusion, but of peace,
His wisdom and my discernment will determine what should stay or what should be released;

Living by the truth will lead me into the light,
It exposes what’s dark to unveil His vision and sights;

When the resources of the world are substituted for the presence and power of the Spirit,
Confusion is the result, so what the Lord wants we are not able to see or hear it;

The character of confusion looks like uncertainty, disorder, and disturbance,
It’s accepted as accidental, luck, and random with ungodly importance;

Despite we know prayer is the cure for a confused mind, a weary soul, and a broken heart,
Despite the Word of God is being rewritten, watered down, dismissed, and torn apart;

My Lord is not the author of confusion, but of peace,
His wisdom and my discernment will determine what should stay or what should be released;

As we consider our lives from our marriages, families, and even the church,
There is a modern-day take on priorities and what should be considered first;

Although the Bible tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God,
It has become, a me first society, and what is deemed good is now odd;

God’s voice enlightens, encourages, convicts, and comforts us,
Satan’s voice rushes, confuses, discourages, and worries us;

This makes it crystal clear that Satan is the author of confusion,
He convinces us that we are winning, yet we are spiritually losing;

My Lord is not the author of confusion, but of peace,
His wisdom and my discernment will determine what should stay or what should be released;

We have to make choices and decisions that are more in harmony with the Lord desires,
His results are certain, stable, and peaceful, yet not always understandable or obvious;

The Lord is not indifferent, uncaring, or apathetic,
He is revealed in Jesus with a goodness that’s strong and passionate;

Surely, we do not have His all-encompassing perspective,
Nor do we always want His timing or righteous objective;

But, what we do want is His faithful hands and indescribable love, joy and peace,
So, Lord let Your truth overshadow any confusion as I decrease and You increase;

Who is the author of my marriage? Who is the author of my finances?
Who is the author of my tongue? Who is the author of my relationships?
Who is the author of my household? Who is the author of my lifestyle?
Who is the author of time? Who is the author of my mind?

Again! My Lord is not the author of confusion, but of peace,
His wisdom and my discernment will determine what should stay or what should be released.

Prayer: As I take inventory of who dominates the affairs in my life, I am disappointed. As I dig deep, many parts of my life are a mess. I have not allowed the Lord to take residence in particular areas. Forgive me Lord! Please intercede and flush out the spiritually unhealthy thing. Continue to convict me in those areas where I’m weak. Thank you for being faithful and patient. I desire Your peace Father. In the matchless name of Jesus. Amen!

This is a good line right here, Bro. Glenny:

My Lord is not the author of confusion, but of peace,

His wisdom and my discernment will determine what should stay or what should be released;

Oooo, Thank you, Brother!
