HEALING OF DAMAGED HEARTS: The Potter and His Clay

SCRIPTURE: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. 4 He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. 5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.” Psalm 147:3

The Scottish preacher, James Stewart said, “It is always upon human weakness and humiliation, not human strength and confidence, that God chooses to build His Kingdom; and that He can use us not merely in spite of our ordinariness and helplessness and disqualifying infirmities, but precisely because of them.” Job 13:15a says “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him” and I Peter 5:10 says “But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.”

Clay chosen before the foundation of the world, clay in the hands of the Potter saved by grace and clay being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. Satan is allowed to tempt us, tribulations come upon us from a fallen world and fiery trials are sent by the Potter to test, purge and cleanse us. Yet I am His workmanship – His masterpiece, His work of art to showcase His power and glory until He takes me home through death or the rapture.

I dare you to give the Lord Jesus Christ a “Right Now Praise” for keeping that which concerns you against any day because only He knows the depths of your heart.

Prayer: Praise You my Great and Awesome God. Thank You for Your power and wisdom. Thank You for knowing the plans You would have for me and that You will complete what You have started for eternity.
