SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER with Pastor Wayne Cockrell

Father, we thank you so very much once again for the great gift of Your Son, the Lord Jesus. We’re thankful for the many ways you have shown grace to us, and You have been a perfect Father. You have loved us unconditionally and You have made promisses that You have kept. You have been to us everything a father is supposed to be. We thank You for that, because that has supplemented in many of us what has been lacking in some of our relationships with our fathers from the past. You have erased the harshness of those memories, You have removed them and replaced them with Your presence in the midst of our lives. As we open Your Word this day, we want to ask You to give light and give encouragement to all gathered. As we focus on encouraging men, we pray that You will also encourage the women too. That You would have a Word for every individual, Father, and make this a great day that ultimately above every earthly father that the people of God will rise up and celebrate you, our heavenly Father and give You all the honor and praise. Use this servant, I pray, Your son and Your servant that I may speak those things that are consistent with Your word. We will give You praise and thanks, our Father, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
