SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER with Pastor Wayne Cockrell.

SCRIPTURE: “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, 17 comfort your hearts and [b]establish you in every good word and work.” 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
Prayer: Our eternal Father in Heaven, as Your children we bow in Your presence. We’re so mindful of what grace has meant to us all the days of our saved lives since we have become aware. We understand that Your grace is more than we could ever quantify. You have met us in our darkest hours. You have brought us from darkness into light, through grace. You’ve kept us each and every day.  In our stumbling and stammering, success, and failures, Your grace has been everything to us, as You have said. It has been there to help us in time of need, and we rejoice as a people who have benefitted and been blessed by Your grace.

Now, our Father, as we open Your Word, we have expectation that You will speak to us. You have made the commitment to us that Your Word would not return unto You void. That Your Word would equip us, thoroughly prepare us for every good work. So we ask Lord that You would help us, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to be open, to be attentive, to what You will say to us   and we will not forget to give You the praise, the honor and the glory. We ask it all in Jesus’ name, Amen.
