GOT YOUR RESERVATION?

SCRIPTURE: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you….” 1 Peter 1:3, 4 (NASB)

If you are a child of God today, by the definition found in John 1:12, you can daily delight in being one who has a guaranteed heavenly reservation—one that is based upon God’s incomparable mercy and grace. These were lavished upon us when the Savior got our individual attention, quickening our spirit the moment we believed His gospel and received Christ as our personal Lord and Savior! The guarantee is based upon His promise in John 6:37, Acts 4:12, and throughout God’s Holy Word. What He has said He will do; what He has promised, He’ll do that, too! (my personal paraphrase of Numbers 23:19) All of us who are in right relationship with Him are chosen to enjoy a LIVING hope, because of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead, a uniquely amazing event about which we who believe ought never to become blasé!

His Word lays out for Christ followers the reasons that we can enjoy this perpetual hope. Christ’s redemptive work on Calvary’s cross and His ensuing resurrection obtained for us an imperishable and undefiled inheritance—one that will not EVER fade away and is RESERVED in heaven, the eternal destination of every true Christ follower, where there are no thieves who break through and steal (neither in person nor online), no liars, no murderers, no idolaters, no revilers, no false prophets, no tares at all!!! (Matt. 13:36-41) Check it out! In fact, “…NOTHING unclean and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life (Revelation 21:27).”

Are you not daily GLAD about what our Savior God has clearly revealed in His Holy Word? I certainly am! If this is not your personal testimony, today, by faith, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31).”

PRAYER: Dear Abba, thank You for the daily rejoicing that is our spiritual birthright because of Jesus’ redemptive act on our behalf at Calvary. Thank You for placing us in the ranks of the “twice born!” In Jesus’ matchless name, amen!
